Aluminum Spray Booms
20,000 Farmers Can’t Be Wrong!
Producing high-strength aluminum booms since 1986, the Pommier Aluminum Boom Company has become THE leader in aluminum boom production and innovation. Their rigid, lightweight alternatives to traditional steel spray booms already command a large share of the European market, and, over the past 14 years, rapidly gained a large fan base in North America.
Pommier aluminum booms are engineered to complement the sprayers they were specifically designed for. Instead of using one configuration of aluminum boom and building adapters to make it fit a variety of sprayers, Pommier aluminum booms are designed to give the best performance with your specific make of high-clearance sprayer.
of research and development, in collaboration with farmers, sprayer dealers and OEM factory engineers, have resulted in special aluminum profiles and patented aluminum extrusions that help make Pommier Aluminum Booms the undisputed aluminum boom market leader.
R & D
The Pommier Research and Development department is equipped with modern CAD/CAM computer software, and works in close collaboration with their clients to provide extensive ‘real world’ testing, ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
Plasma Cutting
Plasma cutting allows Pommier to produce very complex parts for their aluminum booms, according to very specific designs. Their production can quickly adapt to any technical change that may be required.
Hardware
Special chromium-free coating of steel hardware provides reliable, proven, corrosion resistance. This VOC compliant topcoat meets EPA/OSHA regulations and provides bi-metallic protection with aluminum. It offers excellent resistance to solvents and consistent torque/tension values.
Ball joints at the three-way break-away section and outer fold have been specifically sized to complement each aluminum boom. Years of R&D have resulted in ball joints that are perfectly sized for their function. Large enough to withstand the toughest field conditions, small enough to be an easily replaceable ‘fail-safe’ point if your boom unexpectedly meets an Immovable Object inside of the break-away point.
Aluminum Welding
Aluminum welding is the most important step in the production of Pommier aluminum spray booms. Robotic welders work in harmony with highly trained aluminum welders to produce a very professional finished product. To maintain high standards of quality, welding technicians at Pommier are equipped with state-of-the-art welding units.
Assembly
Assembly is another key stage to ensure Pommier aluminum spray booms are in perfect working order. Optimal quality is obtained by a Quality team in charge of assembling and adjusting the booms at the factory.
Balanced Units
Pommier aluminum spray booms come as a complete, balanced unit, engineered for your make of high-clearance sprayer. During the design phase, technical specifications of the sprayer are taken into consideration, as boom performance can be easily affected by such things as chassis suspension, boom suspension and dampening/accumulation systems, sprayer turn radius, etc.
